GQ - One Direction Edition



This edition of GQ is aimed at men from the age of around 20-45. This is because it's a quite serious and business based magazine which includes many articles about classy sort of fashion which not many teenagers or lower class people are in to, which is why it would be aimed at B class people and lower A class people who are business focused. You know it is aimed at men because the colours and the fonts used aren't very feminine and are quite serious. The main image and story is about Niall Horan from One Direction, although men aren't very interested in One Direction, they are very interested in how much money they make and will want to know their story as they are very respectable and successful as they are the biggest band in the world. However, people may decide not to buy this edition of GQ because it has Niall Horan on the front who is stereotypically only liked by girls. 
One of the puffs says, 'why boxing should be taught in every school'. This means inside the magazine there will be an article about this subject. This also shows us that the target audience is men because boxing isn't a very womanly topic to read about in a magazine. It could also be drawing the attention of dads who want their kids to learn boxing at school. 
One of the puffs says, 'what really happens when you have your prostate removed'. This shows us that the magazine is once again aimed at men because men are the only people who are going to worry about having their prostate removed, so they are going to be curious about what rally happens. Women won't be interested in reading about that because they don't need to know about it.
